Grande Provence welcomes Spring with White Blend Wine & Dine Collaboration dinner

Grande Provence is showcasing exceptional white blends from top end wineries for their first Spring Wine & Dine Collaboration dinner on Friday, 25 September.

Grande Provence winemaker Karl Lambour will be joined by the winemakers of Strandveld Vineyards, De Morgenzon and Tokara for an evening of pure gourmet delight for food and wine lovers.

Each dish on Executive Chef Darren Badenhorst’s menu will be a perfect match for the richly layered and complex white blends featured on the evening.

Enjoy a glass of the Strandveld Adamastor 2013 with rillette of confit pork and duck, served with wine jelly disc, grape texture, apple tartare and a dash of kataifi quails egg.

The De Morgenzon Maestro White 2014 will be a great taste partner for Chef Darren’s sous-vide saddle of rabbit with crisp pancetta, griddled langoustine, cauliflower crème, black garlic and charred corn. This will be followed by the Grande Provence White 2014 paired to perfection with butter-poached Scandinavian halibut with potato and crab net, coconut curry velouté and imperial heritage caviar.

To round off the evening, Tokara Directors Reserve 2014 will be served with spiced honey bavarois, with rose and wild apple, burnt hazelnut meringue, vanilla crumble and wild flowers.

The White Blend Wine & Dine Collaboration dinner takes place at The Restaurant at Grande Provence, starting at 19h00.
