Toby Megaw bronze sculpture showcase at Grande Provence

Toby Megaw – (children). From Saturday, 7 Nov to Friday, 27 Nov, The Gallery at Grande Provence

Sculptor Toby Megaw’s exhibition (children), featuring bronzes fashioned from clay from his farm on the Prince Alfred Pass, will be showcased at The Gallery at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek from Saturday, 7 November.

“Since Toby Megaw’s first major commission, ‘The Wine Bearer’ at La Motte, he has concentrated on the human form and, in particular, that of children who are notoriously difficult to sculpt without being whimsical and sweet. Megaw captures the essence and innocence of childhood, whilst preserving the curious dignity and solemnity that children affect in repose,” notes Trent Read, director of The Gallery at Grande Provence.

Open from 10h00 to 18h00 daily, The Gallery will feature (children) from Saturday, 7 November at 11h00, until Friday, 27 November. Angels Tears wine will be served at the opening.
