Grande Provence toasts Sauvignon Blanc at Wine & Dine Collaboration dinner

Wine lovers with a penchant for Sauvignon Blanc can book their spot for the Grande Provence Wine & Dine Collaboration Dinner on Friday, 23 October.

Featuring wines from Grande Provence, Klein Constantia, Steenberg and D’Aria, guests at The Restaurant will be treated to an evening of tailor-made Sauvignon Blanc and food pairings, hosted by Grande Provence winemaker, Karl Lambour.

Each dish on Executive Chef Darren Badenhorst’s menu has been masterly designed to be a great taste partner for the wines featured on the evening.

Starting the dinner off, the Klein Constantia 2014 will be served with 12-hour Franschhoek trout gravlax, adorned with a mosaic of beetroot scales, iced baby radish and vineyard alfalfa.

The just released Grande Provence Sauvignon Blanc 2015 will be partnered with parmesan roasted cauliflower florets, with whiffs of smoked goat’s cheese fondue, porcini popped corn and spiced micro salad.

For the Steenberg Black Swan 2014, Chef Darren has chosen baked sea bass with a fennel crust, finished off with iced radish, toasted almond, water chestnuts and seared scallop.

Bringing the evening’s menu to a close will be the D’ Aria Songbird 2015 with Buraka and Délice cheese panna cotta, with pancetta, rosemary and parmesan shortbread.
